What is the going rate for romanian 7.62x39 123gr fmj? It was an unopened spam can of 700rds, but now that my son opened up the tin I have a whole bunch of boxes.[V][V]

If it isn't noncorrosive, it's just blasting ammo. No matter how clean it looks on the outside.

Shot some of the Romanian 7.62 X 25, in a CZ-52. Really corrosive stuff, if not cleaned promptly and properly.

almost ALL Romanian ammo was corrosive. the only Romanian ammo that I have found that wasn't corrosive had green sealant on the primers. if it is corrosive, trade it off! bad stuff!

even if it isn't corrosive, and still sealed in the can, it isn't worth anymore than new production. you might get someone to pay a little more because its sealed, but not much.

To answer the question, going rate for a 700 round tin should be about $175-$200.

You can do the math for individual boxes, but in general, they cost a tiny bit MORE on a per-round basis. If someone is buying a whole can of 35 boxes at once they should expect/get a modest volume discount. So figure about $5.00-$5.50/box or $0.25-$0.28 per round. The ammo itself is nothing special and price shouldn't really be any different than the much more common Russian-made ammo.

In terms of corrosive, non-corrosive, that depends on exactly what you've got. As mentioned, plenty of the older Romanian stuff is corrosive, but there was also a bunch of more recent manufacture Romanian stuff put into spam cans for commercial sale that is NOT corrosive. This stuff wasn't out for too long.

I've got a 700 rd tin in "Hotshot" branded packaging that isn't.

This past weekend at the big GSR gun show in Reno, Wolf 7.62x39 was going for $220/1000. So, I picked up a carton to resupply my basic plinking needs. [:D]

    It's the Hotshot brand ammo.

I looked on the auction side but the ones sold were red boxes, mine are white. Thanks for the help btw.
