    April 1943.

(I'm sure Mark Christian or another expert will correct if necessary - I'm just a rank amateur)

    To pick nits:

My copy of Bruce Canfield's Complete Guide to the M1 Garand and the M1 Carbine indicates that your receiver was made in May 1943.

Your receiver was produced in May, 1943. This period was the peak of M1 Rifle production so in most cases receivers were sent directly to the assembly line to be made into a complete rifle. There is no hard fast way to pin point the actual day your receiver was produced, but based on production averages of 20,500 rifles per week during this period, a WAG would have your receiver coming off the line late in the first week, or early in the second week of May.

As long as we're picking nits: There's only one "r" in Garand.
