Anyone have first hand feedback on the new CCI Quiet 22LR? Accuracy? Consistency of shot to shot velocity spread?

Groups almost like CCI SV for me out of several rifles. Out of a 22" barrel, it is plenty quiet. Out of a 26" barrel it is air rifle quiet. Does have a LOT of drop - about 8 inches vs CCI SV at 50 yards.

I like it. Very quiet out of a pump 1906 Winchester.

Not that quiet from an 11" barreled single-shot pistol.

Yeah I know this is a pretty old thread, but why start a new one? We shot a bunch of these rounds along with conventional LR a few days ago, and impressed with how tight the groups were even out at 75 yards. Big difference when a crosswind comes up as they are very slow velocity. (Kind of like "wait for it, wait for it, thwack") Well maybe an exaggeration but you really can tell the difference from a conventional LR.

Best of all I can target shoot these on our rural property without disturbing the neighbors or livestock, very similar to a suppressed hi velocity air rifle.

We use the QUIET ammo on the trap line in 5.5" barrel handguns. In this context, it's accuracy is adequate for our needs(5-10'minute of skunk). After trying 5-6 brands/types of ammo we found the Remington C-bee ammo performed best AND THEN IT WAS DISCONTINUED.
For range use, I found QUIET lacking in our guns as it was neither suitably accurate or functional. The lower velocity(710 fps)seems to put the bullet on the edge of stability vs sub-sonic(1050 fps).
The champion of lower velocity ammo in our use is the CCI sub-sonic HP followed by Aguila sub-sonic.

I have used CCI CB Long- it is quieter than CCI Quiet. And a Remington 550-1 will cycle the CB Longs. Have louder air rifles.

+1 for the CB Longs. 10-22 is a very nice feeding single shot, the hammer drop is about all I hear. In a 6" barrel pistol they are a lot louder.

i really like this stuff. I boat at lakes where they have a rule no guns or target shooting. The thing is that they have to allow hunting. Loud gunshots would annoy others at the lake who might call the authorities. With a closed breach gun, think single shot or in my case a pump, CCI quiet is almost silent (I was astounded at how quiet it is). I can target shoot all I want behind my camp and nobody knows.
