"What about the corrosive ammo ??? steel cases ??? magazine issues ???"..........corrosive ammo=complete tear-down after each use, magazines are available, steel cases, depends on your barrel/chamber.

I like mine and so does my grandson. I reload, so issue 1 and 2 don't apply and M-W pretty well covered the issue with corrosive ammo. Magazines for 7.62 X 39 are caliber specific. C-products make good ones.

Corrosive ammo? Absolutely zero need to use the stuff.
Steel cases? May be a little harder on bolt face and extractor than brass but you'd have to shoot a LOT of it before it becomes a problem.
Magazines? No problem there--plenty available although a bit more $$ than the common 5.56 mags.
Suggestions? Get the 7.62 upper and 3-4 ASC or C-* mags. If you want better accuracy/performance, Use PPU, Hornady, or Fiocchi ammo(PPU and Fiocchi are brass cased).
