Im looking at a T/C Encore 209X50, question is can I use this frame and put another barrel on it? How does this one compare to the Older Contenders ?

    gunnut, This is the upgraded contender. My buddy just bought it in stainless with a 22-250 barrel and 14" 7mm-08 pistol barrel and grip at the same time. All configurations of his shoot great. My understanding is that the Encore has been worked over more than the original contenders. T/C will also send you directions and extra trigger springs for different pull weights upon your request. I am currently entertaining an offer for $300 plus my nazi-eagle marked mod 98 mauser for a brand new s/s Encore with scope base. I was sold when I shot my friends.
