I am thinking of purchasing an AR-15 and was wanting to know the pros and cons of bushmaster, armalite, and olymic arms.

If you are going to have a fine tuned target rifle all will mfg one for you. If you just want a good shooter than I would go with Bushmaster. My 2 cents

Gun Tests liked Armalite better than Bushy or Colt(Olympic wasn't in there).

I sell all 3 and the Colt is hands down the better weapon. Also the Colt's dont seem to be as finicky with the cheaper ammo as do the others.

I've owned a bunch of AR-15s. My choice is Colt, Bushmaster, DPMS, & Olympic. In that order, haven't tried an Armalite.

Get a colt, if you can't afford one, then get a bushmaster...

I have all of them.I am sick and tired of Colt and their weird non USGI milspec parts and pins.If I can ever get rid of my last three Colts I will never have another.cpermd@centurytel.net

Of the last 2 Colts I had, and several I've seen since, they all had or needed that rubber thing below the rear pin to keep them tight ... Bushmasters are the tightest fitting I've seen in a while ... as for finicky with ammo, tighter fit=less slopAlso the Stoner SR-15 is a hell-of-a-gun!

If you really desire something, you'll find a way ?
? otherwise, you'll find an excuse.

Man, I bought a new Oly PCR4 a couple of months back, and I think the fit and finish is great. I had a function problem right off the bat, it would jam loading hollowpoints. I polished the ramps and fire a couple of hundred rounds. No problem now.I will likely buy another Oly.
