Iron target sights on a bull bbl Ruger 10/22?

I am considering joining the club and customizing my 10/22. I was wondering if anyone out there knew about mounting target aperature sights with a bull bbl. I am looking for a rear peep and front globe that can be installed without gunsmiting. Is there such a thing, or is it only possible to do this by dovetailing the barrell? Any help is appreciated, and if you know specific brands and where I can order them, that would be good also. Thanks....

Gunsmithing will be required. There are ttarget sites available. Brownell's is the place to start looking. Your problem is there are not bull barrels made that are ready to fasten target sights to. You would nee to have the barrel drilled and tapped for the front sight and perhaps have the sight fitted. The receiver is another story. Being aluminum, you need to work with a gunsmith to figure out what sight would work. You might try contacting Clark Custom, who make custom 10/22s. They could probably help you out. Great people, nice to work with and very good worksmanship.
