    Your Liberty Chief should be a .38 special swing out cylinder model based on the Colt design. They were made in Japan between 1960-64 at which time importation into the U.S. ceased. They were of good quality, but I haven't a clue as to what one is worth as they are seldom seen and not sold frequently enough to be listed in the Blue Book.
