Desert Eagle Bolt Return Spring Life

The bolt return springs on my .357 mag Desert Eagle are appx.
6 months old, and am now having extraction and feed problems.

The same problems prompted the replacement of the springs 6 months
ago.

Is this normal?

Using recommended high velocity ammo, clean it after each trip
to the range, etc. Maybe I'm missing something in the cleaning?

Yes, using gun oil (do not have manufacture in front of me)
for small parts, and am using mil surplus (grease cups for
    Garand) for slide, etc.

    Pistol is not stainless.
