I am trying to date an H&R 999....
- Marked "H&R SPORTSMAN DOUBLE ACTION" on the barrel
- Cylinder holds 9, .22 LR
- Hammer mounted firing pin
- Checkered wood grips w/ diamond around screw & silver H&R emblem
- Adjustable front and rear sights
- Serial # Z 591
