I have seen these beautiful guns from America Remebers offered at inception for $2000. Do they hold valvue? Is there an aftermarket market for these guns?

    They are money losing machines.
Buy them if you like them and want to keep them

Plan on losing $$ if you ever sell them.

If you want for decoration purchase and keep it under glass then buy it. However they are not made to ever shoot and a used one day old one you will most likely be able to resell for 25% of what you paid.[:(]. I suggest you spend money on a G.I. 45 AUTO and a display with holster and web belt plus a box of ammo this will show respect to those that served their country and When or If the S**T HITS THE FAN. You will at least have something you can protect your family with[^]

Place a wanted ad in the various on line forums, including ours. Also the various high readership gun publications. Be sure and specify that you will only purchase them if they are in NIB untouched condition though. So many families and estates have been stuck with these over priced turds over the years, you will probably have folks lined up around the block trying to get rid of them.

You can buy them on Gunbroker auctions.

Search the completed auctions first to get an idea of what they actually sell for. Note that most have a high starting price, or a reserve, sure signs that the seller is afraid to take his chances on what the market really is.

Type America Remembers into the Gun Broker auction search and you'll see several are available for sale. As Neal pointed out these all have reserves or very high opening bids so the price you pay may not even be close to the auction "street" value of these guns. I've been selling guns for about 30 years and these types of special editions are very poor investment performers. Buy one if you just want to admire it as a piece of art but as an investment you'll likely never even get your money back, much less show a profit when it comes time to sell.

If you do a smart search on completed auctions You will see that most have no bids some have bids that did not meet reserve I found only one or two that actually sold and one of these was for a benefit [?] and the other one had one bid that went in very early and no one else bid I suspect seller got a friend to place the reserve bid the seller really wanted but did not want to have a reserve auction[;)][:(!][V]. If you want the gun Buy it and don't worry about others opinion. You will most likely lose more money in any other "INVESTMENT" as long as We have the bunch we have in Washington now. [:(]
