Might get a chance to look again today at one I had a quick look at the other day and posted about in Gen Discussion. What would be normal LOP for a 3", 12 gauge, 28" modified choke A-5?

Want to determine if it has been altered or is in original condition.

Look for a crack at bottom rear of handguard adjacent to receiver.
Be sure to set up friction rings for load you're using if you buy it.

If the hand guard is cracked it is an easy fix. I've rescued stocks and fore ends for the past 50 yrs. I finally learned how to make the repair without surface scars in most cases. It is nice to keep the original hand guard and not have to spend a lot of money on a replacement.
