Just purchased a Model 65-4, ser# bnp1704. Does anyone know about when this was made? Thanks, Jim.[:)]

Your alpha prefix serial number, doesn't agree with the -4 engineering change. Per SCSW.

The -4 engineering change dates to 1988. Your BNP prefix seems to date to 1993? Most likely the -4 engineering change, was made much later than the SCSW notes.

I think that the 1993 date is likely correct. If you have the 4" square butt model, production of the -4 continued after the -5 changes were made to the 3" round butt model.
