According to Nick Stroebel's book, "Old Rifle Scopes". The M73B1, military scope. Was the militarized version, of Weavers Model 330C. Other than better sealing for weatherproofing, it was the same. The 330C, had a standard gun blued finish.

The M73B1 scope should be blued. None of the 330 series scopes were sealed, which is why they were less than satisfactory for combat.

The correct rings are one piece with a flat top shape. They should be a greenish parkerized finish, & 3/4" diameter.
