Remington 1100LT-20 ?

My brother has a Remington model 1100LT-20 serial number M892510U. It either came with a youth size stock or someone cut the LOP down. He would like to put a regular LOP stock on it. Is this the model 20ga that has the smaller receiver, that takes the smaller stock? He purchased this 1100 in the early to mid 80?s, I thought he bought it new but he does not remember if it was or used. Any idea on the DOM of this 1100?

The 20ga LT, LW, and 20ga 11-87 stocks will fit. Make sure it matches the forearm before you buy. Rem had several variations of finish and checkering. Stocks came with pistol grip, or straight English style. If he buys a complete set, the "Special Field" model forearm won't work.
Calling Remington with the serial number is hit and miss for a DOM, some of those people that answer the phone should be in another line of work.
There should be a barrel date code on the left side near the receiver. Scroll down for a location pic and the code translation.
