I want to know about this duoble action revolver I have . It is a 38. made by Smith & Wesson the dates on the revolver read: april 6, 1886' - Feb 15, 1887'- May 10, 1887'- Dec 20, 1893' Fitchburg Mass. USA. Iver Johnsons Arms s# 20539 I would like to know how much it is worth and if I can find a firing pin for this revolver.

    It isn't a Smith & Wesson. .38 S&W is just the calibre. Iver Johnson was among the most stable and long-lasting of the many companies turning out cheaper copies of S&W break-open revolvers from the 1880s through the 1940s under hundreds of trade names. The need for a firing pin probably indicates that it's in less than perfect condition otherwise, so the repair cost might exceed the value of the revolver.
