Has anyone had any luck with the RAMSHOT (Western) Powders. I have been using Bullseye and 231 for quite some time with very good results. I was told that the Ramshot powder is very good and clean. Looking to use it in 38spl 148WC 9mm 147and 45 ACP 185-200 jacketed. All of my match guns that shoot the above can hold a group under 1.5 @ 50yds from a ransom rest with reloads using Bullseye and 231. Winter is comming on and those powders really throw the smoke indoors. Any help or thoughts.

I use Bullseye & 231 with lead cast bullets and when firing fast, so much smoke it obscures the target. I have been experimenting with Hodgdon Tite Group with the same bullets and notice very little smoke.

Sorry--no experience with Ramshot yet. Say, Oneshy, your smoke situation is an interesting one. I fired thousands of .38 Spec. in my PPC days and never obseved smoke to be a problem using Bullseye. Wonder if it's the lube on your cast bullets causing the problem?

I think it's probably the lube as FMJ does not smoke nearly as much. It has been so long since I used FMJ that I was making comparisons on smoke created based on the lead bullets. I figure if Tite Group is that much cleaner, then it might be a good choice, and it is a new powder and perhaps not that well known.
