A friend of mine had a p10-45 and it wouldn't eject the spent shells very well at all. He said he had heard about that problem before he bought it. That is all I know and I am no longer in contact with him so I can't find out anymore. Hope that helped.

I have a Para-Ordnance Stainless Limited 14-45, tricked out for IPSC Limited Competition. With the addition of Dawson base pads, a special follower, and spring, the magazines hold 17 cartridges each. Alot of ammo. Especially for .45acp.I really love Para guns, especially their limited series. At its introduction it was an inovation that made 1911 .45's hold just as many bullets as a high cap 9mm's.As far as their appearance, if you look close up, its not as shiney and polished up as you would expect, but its performance is awesome. Its relaible, accurate, ergonomic, up there with Springfield Armory, Colt, ect. The frame is a little thick, I wouldn't recommend for small hands, don't know about the compact .40's though. If maybe you get a jammer and it needs a little smith work don't dislike it. All good 1911's need a little tweak here or there to get them running most optimal. The only bad thing I can remotely say about them, is I heard from a guy, who new a guy who's frame cracked while at a match on a 10-45. But don't know anything else, he could have been shooting really hot loads, or modified his frame so I don't rely on second hand accounts. To sum up, I'll just say, Para has my vote.

I have the P-12 and think very highly of it. A friend has the P-14 and he also has total trust in it the P-16LDA I am told has the best trigger of any semi-auto. But for some reason, and I hate to say it, the P-10 failed to impress Gun Test Mag. They rated it as unreliable. I did not actually read the article but they had it in their year-end synopsis of guns they had tested. I cannot understand this as Paras are well-known as excellent. Perhaps the P-12 would be a good choice.
