Was at Gun Show last weekend and the P99 Walther in OD Green caught my eye......felt really good in the hand.....anyone have any experience with it? Reliability with the pre ban 16 rd hi-cap mags? Accuracy? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the P99 in .40 S&W and love it. The trigger takes some getting used to, but it took me a while to master a Glock trigger too. Accuracy is excellent, better than my Glock 23. It has been totally reliable with the hi-cap (12rds)mags and fits my hand like a glove. I would imagine the 9mm to be the same.
Without the NRA, the second ammendment would already be gone!

Thanks for the reply, ishoot - like I said, it felt really good in the hand and many times that's half the battle in mastering a pistol.

I carry my 99 daily, it is an auto I literally stake my life on. Very light with outstanding german ergodynamics. Stay away from the smith/walther 99's, there have been many problems with this piece. Ya Vol !!Gun control is hitting your target !!

Thanks, interstate for echoing thoughts. Im feeling the need to find someone who's not endeared with their P99 in 9mm and take a liking to my 92 FS in exchange, lol!

Mad, On that note, I have a Glock 19 with 2 high caps and a 10 rd mag that I would gladly trade for a P99. I'd trade my Beretta, but have too much invested on it.Any takers? -Smooth
