Values of various military ammo

Hi, everyone - I inherited some ammo (I'm an Army brat) and I'd like to sell it, but some websites say it's worthless, some say it's collectible. I'd love to hear your opinions.

Here's what is written on the boxes (white boxes, black writing):

50 Cartridges
Ball
Caliber .38 Special M41
Lot RA (5298 stamped on box)
Remington Arms Company Incorprated

50 Cartridges
Cal .38 Special
158 GR Full MC Bullet
Lot W.C.C. (6004 stamped on box)
Olin Mathieson Chemical Corporation

50 Cartridges
Ball
Caliber .38 M41
Lot WCC-1- (6053 stamped on box)
Olin Corporation

Anything you can tell me about value, or if I should try to sell them as "collectible" or not would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

Agreed with Fordsix. Ball ammo is any produced for uncle sam typically by Remington or Winchester to mil specs. In your case some .38 cal left overs from either WWII or Korea. These would be FMJ .38 and either usable or collectible. However common.

I've seen a lot of the M41 stuff over the years. I believe that the bullet weighs 130 grains, and it's the most common military .38 Special FMJ ammo found.

On the other hand I have never seen or heard of any 158 grain FMJ ammo made for the military. Because of this, my WAG is that it that this box would be more valuable then the other lighter bullets, to a collector.
