I need to get a value on the above rifle. It is in very good condition with no marks or dings on the stock, and the action and barrel are very good with no rust or blueing wear.

I bought a Ruger .44 Magnum carbine in similar condition with a cheap 4X scope at a gun show last summer for $300. The seller had shopped the show and mine was the best offer.

Edit: The carbine I am talking about is the first one that came out and I believe was first called the "Deerstalker". It is a semi-auto that looks quite similar to the 10-22 and loads though a port just forward of the trigger guard. Gun show asking prices are about at meaningless as some minimum bids on the auctions. The information I provided is from an actual sale when the seller and buyer both were aware of what the item was.

Which one? There are 2 different versions.

One was built resembling a 10/22 with a tube mag, the other similar to a Mini-14 using a detachable mag.

There is also the lever action .44 Mag carbine.

There is the 77/44 which might be described as a carbine.

Hello Harleyrider: Purchased a 4-cartridge tube .44 Ruger Carbine in August of 07, 97% condition for $455 at a Gun Show. This came with a Weaver 2.5 Micro-trac scope on it. I thought that a fair but "going" price. They are a bit scarce and asking prices are higher.

I am NOT asking if I should buy a gun! I have an older version of the .44 Magnum Carbine, the one resembling the popular 10/22, that I would like to sell and just wanted an idea of what I should ask.

Thanks to all answering my question.

Of all the ones on the auction side only one has a bid on it.

In any kind of decent condtion that was a steal. These have a small cult following , trick is to find some cult members looking for one.
