Smith Wesson MP15R 5.45x39 5 round mags?

Can anyone tell me of anyone that produces a reliable 5 round mag for the Smith and Wesson MP15R in 5.45x39? I would love to pick up one of the rifles but without being able to obtain the proper mag, I'll have to go with an AK74 to utilize the 5.45x39. I would think this a great round for coyote and smaller varmint, as well as inexpensive. I'm after one for hunting as a 5 rounder is all that is allowed where I hunt.

Thanks,
CP

You might get reliable function with a standard 223 5 round mag. My M&P will sort of work with a few rounds in a 223 mag. FYI, I don't think you'll be happy with the performance of most factory ammo for "smaller varmints". Mediocre accuracy will limit your range and bullet performance will be disappointing. All the foreign made ammo I've tried uses bullets much too hard to open up and kill small critters. The exception may be the new Hornady load with a 60 grain V-max bullet which I found shoots pretty well in my M&P. I haven't tested this bullet but it should be fine on coyotes. Velocity is quite a bit lower than 223. Plan B is to try an AR 7.62x39 mag since the case shape is similar(not exact but similar). Check Brownells, I know they have 10 round 7.62 mags.
