Got a 190 that is doing a weird thing. When you work the bolt to cock the action it locks the bolt closed. You have to fire it to get the bolt to relaease. Any ideas?

Thanks, Pel

    Pel,
I'm not familiar with the 190. Hopefully you can ignore this advice when someone who is comes along. That said, it sounds a broken or possibly worn part to me. I'd strip in down as far as reasonably possible and look for broken, warn or loose parts. Which ones? That's the fun of it, I guess.
    Good luck.[:D]

Junk it! The gun is made of a too soft metal. I had one, the safety didn't function, if you banged the rifle hard it would fire one and sometimes two times. The gunsmith said it wasn't worth trying to repair. I dismantled it as much as possible and sent it to the land fill.

'preciate the input. Fella gave me 75 bucks for it as-is. He's happy and I'm estatic.

    Thanks, Pel
