M1 garand front sight height.

Anybody know what the height is supposed to be on a m1 garand front sight above the bore....mine is not handy to measure.

    looks to be that the front sight is about 1 inch and the rear sight approx. at 1.5 inches....i compromised and used the 1.25 for the ballastic calculator....this put the m2 ball round less than a inch high at 200 yards for a 25 yard zero which as i recall is pretty dang near where it should be. Just in case anyone else was trying to do some calcs. I figured the information could stay here for posterity.
