Ammo head stamp?

Hi, I have some 5.56 ammo with a head stamp with a circle with a + inside them it is stamped LC 12. Anybody know what this is?

    I think the circle + is the NATO approved loading marking and my guess is it Lake City 2012 production.

    As Charlie said, the (+) is the NATO mark indicating the cartridge was manufactured to NATO standards. But, be wary. Some non-NATO countries will put that mark on their headstamp as a selling point. The ammo may, or may not meet NATO standards. Google the list of all NATO countries if you have any doubt.

    there are so many variations and brands, it does get confusing. Try www.cartridgecollectors.org , it is a great site that can help you answer most, if not all, of your headstamp questions.
