Leupold Scope Question II VS. IIc

What is the difference between a Leupold Vari-X II and a Leupold Vari-X IIc? The two look virtually indentical.

    From a quick Google search it evidently denotes a design change around 1984 that increased the amount of elevation and windage adjustments.

    I am not exactly sure, but back around 1987-ish, I know that Leupold had a Vari-X II series, and they also had a Vari-X II Compact series. I have a Compact series 3-9 on my Remington Model 7FS, in 308. It weighs in at 6lb. 2oz., with 5 rounds, and a sling.
