Shotshell length??

This may seem like a dumb question, but here goes. I have a number of older dbl. bbl. shotguns in good condition. Can someone tell me how to tell chamber length? I would shoot light loads, even if I need to load them myself. Just need to know if 2-1/2, 2-3/4, etc. Thanks in advance. Emery

Brownells Inc-Montezuma, Ia has chamber gauges. The only reliable method.

Try listing the models by name and model number, so that members can respond. I am under the impression that its not listed on the barrels of your guns, and I dont know of a way to actually guage the chamber length, other than inserting something small, like a dowel, into the chamber end of the barrel, until it catches on the end of the actual chamber, inside the barrel, and then marking the dowel and measuring the length after pulling it out. I would then compare this measurement to another gun of known chamber dimensions and see if it is the same, and take it from there.
