have 1860 spencer need value

I have a gun i would like a value on..it is a spencer....it says Spencer Repeating Rifle Co., Boston Mass., Pat'd March 6 1860..it has a 22 inch barrel and 6 grove rifleing.....the wood has nick and gouges on it....the metal is dark brown....It is very tight.mecanacaly sound...PLEASE HELP ME IF YOU CAN...

    Sounds like you have the carbine, .52 Rimfire, made 1863-65. My slightly outdated reference book shows good - $450, fine - $1250, I would allow 15%-20% for appreciation, I received an e-mail for one of these in "almost excellent" condition, lots of blue and mechanically sound. Seller asked $1795.
