Does anyone have any (or know where I can get)information on Golden State Arms Santa Fe model 30-06's. My father bought his in 1960 from Sears for $39 and I would like to find another like it. Also it is a 'sporterized' model. Any and all info would be appreciated.Kyle Holgate

A question came up about a Golden State model 750A, Mauser type action, as to who made it originally.

I came across one site that said Sako did. I'm not convinced about that personally. But many answers came out including Russion capture, VZ-24 etc.

Any idea who GS sourced for their actions on this model? The rifle was purchased 'new' in the 60's.

    Edit:

    It's a full length not intermediate so I know it's not a Yugo M48BO.

I am pretty sure the Golden State is a redo of the old WWII mausers. I see them on here on Gun Broker and on AA fairly often, and they usually sell very reasonably.
