Winchester Model 69A 22 S.L. or L.R. in 90-95% condition. Can't find serial #. Do you know where it is?Thanks

    There's no serial number because it wasn't required on guns before 1968 and the 69 was discontinued by Winchester in 1963. If yours has a grooved receiver its worth around $275 retail. Without the groove it's about 75 less unless it has a peep sight.

    The top of the receiver is grooved,front to back,for Weaver type rings..no bases needed.Every other .22 rifle you see will be this way!Just look at the top...pretty groovy,huh?.218
