I have a Ruger M77 in .358 Winchester. I can't find a value for it in the Blue Book of Gun Values. Ser. # 71-xxxxx I beleive indicates it was made in 1971. Anyone know the story on this rifle? Thanks......

If you have the 22nd. edition of the Blue Book, look on page 1308 and you will find both the ruger 77R and 77RS in 358 Winchester caliber listed. The 77R had either a 22 or 24" barrel and the 77RS had an 18&1/2" barrel. If your firearm is in excellent condition it will most likely bring more than the prices listed in the Blue Book due to the fact that Ruger only produced a limited number of each version. The 77R had no sights and the 77RS had sights.

Thanks for the reply! Haven't bought the new Blue Book but found the 77R in my issue. Now I know where to start.....
