Good write-up in current American Handgunner about the Kahr product line. I know everyone uses Glock as the benchmark for comparisions. How does Kahr stack up in your opinion? I what a small frame for carrying. The P9 caught my eye. Glock doesn't have any thing that slim does it? Thanks

The Kahr is as good as they get. Some say better than the Glock for trigger pull. I have owned the P9. It is very reliable and light. Same size as a PPK and 9mm. It is a good buy.

The Kahrs are very well made and extremely well suited to concealed carry. The steel framed guns are fairly heavy so they're probably the choice (for reducing recoil) if you're going to shoot the gun a lot. The polymer frame is the obvious choice if weight is the primary concern. However I carry a K-40 Elite (stainless) in an IWB holster and the weight is not a problem. For a short time I carried the same gun in a paddle holster and could barely tolerate the little wobble the gun made every time I took a step. So I think the proper holster may be more important than the weight.Accuracy is extremely good for a gun with a short barrel and short sight radius. The trigger pull is as smooth as any other DAO (or DA) I've ever fired. The design of the gun allows the barrel to be mounted very low. This both reduces felt recoil and allows a three finger grip on a gun that is no taller than a most other guns with two finger grips. I have a fairly good collection of guns (#19 is on the way) and the Kahr is my favorite to carry.Price is comparable with other guns of similar quality and workmanship. The polymer framed guns are less expensive than the steel framed models.Tom

I highly recommend the MK series and the 40 cal is great. I have bought and sold and traded for years to find the favorite carry gun and my MK 40 and 9 are the best. You have to get used to the trigger pull, but it is extremely accurate and dependable.Hope that helps.
