I've got an SMC .380 made by KBI. The trigger pull is almost military[10-12lbs.].How do I lighten it? My wife doesn't want to use it for concealed carry because it's too hard for her to squeeze off a shot in double action mode. Any help would be appreciated.Tideman

VERY VERY CAREFULLY !!! If you know how to disassemble the entire action--you can stone all the mating surfaces with the EXCEPTION of the sear engagement face. DO NOT try cutting the main spring--more problems! Will only take a few hours and lots of sweat!!!

I have known of KBI lightening the trigger for people in the past. It may not be the cheapest way to get the work done, but they shouldn't mess it up or if they do, they have the parts to fix it again. Plus they have the experience of having done it before. Some gunsmith might be willing to try it, but he also may be working in the dark too. I'd give KBI a call first, their number is (717)-540-8518.
