Remington 12c extraction problem?

My 12c fails to extract quite often, I was going to by extractor and springs to replace the old parts. Think this will help? Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks!

Take a jewelers" loupe and examine the edge of the breech end of the chamber... If the gun has at some time been dry fired too often; the firing pin impinging directly on the end of the barrel with no case to act as a cushion will peen one small spotabout the size of the firing pin, thus reducing the ID of the chamber mouth where the firing pin hits..... Sir, look at your extractor, if the hook is nice and sharp, I doubt it needs replaced. the spring may be weak, or it may be gummed up from years of dried lube, etc. Remove and clean out hole, and stretch spring or replace.

Hey Grizz - I have been dabbling in collecting old .22 pumps for a year or so now and have found quite a few to have extraction problems. My "theory" is that many people used .22 shorts in these alot and the chamber in front of the short case has a build up of residue. I have had good luck with a new .22 bore brush on a drill running it in and out a few (bunch) of times while lubing it with CRC. I try to run the drill at about 100 rpm or so ... Hope this hepps ! Thanks for the replys, I replaced the firing pin quite awhile ago, and started having problems extracting, I took it to a smith and he reamed the chamber, it didn't help. A new bolt is kinda pricey for me, so I thought I might try a new extractor and springs from Numrich. It's a good shooter, and I like the way it feels in my hands.
