Sig Pro, recoil problems, quality................?

I had a Sig Pro in my hand the other day and it felt really good, but I have heard some different opinions on the gun. The first was a recoil issue do to the polymer frame. I am looking at a 9mm, so is this an issue or not. Also since it is a realatively new gun (hasn't been out in the real world long enough to see a trend of common problems), have any of you seen any problems? Should I still consider this gun, or just look into th 229. (Also considering Glock 19, Beretta 92 centurion or compact) Thanks.

Of those listed, IMO, the beretta is the least recoil. My wife is small and can shoot one with ease. The polymer frames do recoil differently than metal frames in my experience. I would recommend the SIG in 239, 226 if you want a SIG. Don't overlook the beretta if recoil is an issue.
