Its a Norinco AK folder in 223 just like the one in auction #2961040. The gun is in very good shape just a couple small small dings in the wood, has 3 30rd mags for 223,box papers etc. There is a couple auctions that have starting bids of 1100 and 1200. I can get the gun for $850. I guess Id like to know what the value of the gun is worth and what would be hi and low #'s fo the gun. Also would like to know if there are alot available in 223?If the gun will appreciate in value. I bought a Poly Legend in 762/39 a few yrs back and like it alot. Thanks in advance for your help.

At $850, thats a deal, if it is in the condition you describe, with the mags. The $1000-1200 is more common for that model and has been for some time. The .223 cal underfolders are more rare than the 7.62x39s. The only country that made a underfolder in .223 for this country as a pre-ban was China. There were 7.62x39 underfolders from China, Yugoslavia, and Hungaria. As for what it will bring in the future, who knows. They tend to go all over the place from time to time. You should always be able to get your money back out of it, unless all the bans get reversed or someone invents a time machine to go back and buy them for under $400 like they were before March of 1989. If it has the box and papers, you are in even a better position, but even without the box, bayonet, and other accessories $850 should be a good deal.

Irams.. Thanks for your help. I didnt realize that they were selling for this much. It has 3 mags short wide bayo etc. Better get it and add to the collection. I see my UZI purchase slipping farther down the road.
