IVER JOHNSON

Can anybody tell me what the value of an Iver Johnson break open revolver?The only markings I could find are on the topstrap it has Iver Johnson arms & cycle works. It was made in fitchburg Mass. USA it also has a patent date of Aug. 25 96. the serial# is 57491.It has an owl face on both side of the grips and an IJ on the heel.It could be a .32 or .38 caliber.any info would be helpfull.

    You will have to give more specific info such as condition, barrel length, grips, 5 shot?, 6 shot? etc. Mainly condition. An "owl head" as they are called in like new condition might bring $100 or so. Value drops off sharply with lesser condition. I saw one sell last week about 98% nickel, a few very minor dings and scratches, perfect bore, etc., $69.95, local gunshop. Average "survivor" condition they are worth $35 - $50 as something to carry in the glove compartment of your pickup.
