I have the PT-140 S&W .40, the trigger pull though no too hard, feels rough as it is comming back. I there a way to "smooth" this out? Thanks in advance!

Rough trigger pulls are usually due to rough or burred parts rubbing against themselves or the frame. Usually disassembly, cleaning, and careful polishing of the contact areas of the parts will result in a smoother pull. You can get into trouble though if you change the contact angle of trigger/sear or sear/hammer, and if unfamiliar with the mechanism of your particular pistol model the job is best left to a gunsmith.

Contact a Taurus-approved gunsmith. Any work that you or a back-alley gunsmith do to the trigger mechanism may negate Taurus' lifetime warantee.

Contact area polishing is very minor work, just about any gunsmith should be able to do it cheap. Its a very common, easy project. You can actually pick up a book on gunsmithing pistols at the bookstore and it will tell you how to do it, do it yourself. I doubt it would void your warranty.
