What is the value of this gun. It was my father's, he bought it new in 1962 and only fired it once. I would like to sell it and I'm located in Southern California.

    1. As you can tell from my "handle" - shotguns are my "thing" not rifles. However, I do have a few rifles.2. The Remington 740 "Woodsmaster" was chambered in 280 caliber (not gauge -- that's shotguns) between 1957 and 1959.3. Value of firearms varies depending on the region you are in. In some places certain firearms sell like hotcakes, and in other places you can hardly get rid of them.4. Here -- north-central Florida, you are looking at somewhere between $225 and $325 depending on how fast you want to get rid of it. I don't have a clue about the People's Republic of Kalifornia.5. The gun is "family". I have several firearms that belonged to "family". The oldest will have been of service to our family for 150 years in the not too distant future. Unless absolutely pressed for financial resources, there is no ways "family" firearms would leave my possession.
