Does anyone know if they make a drop in 40 S&W Barrel for a Colt delta Elite. Before I got educated I shot a few 40 cal shells through the 10mm barrel . Needless to say I don't do that anymore but it would be nice to be able to switch barrels if there is such an animal out there. If not can I use a .400 corbon barrel?

I believe that a .40 S&W Colt Govt. Model barrel would work. You'll need a lighter recoil spring. The Corbon barrel should also work. You may find it necessary to also change the barrel bushing for the sake of good accuracy.

Why not just use it as a 10m/m ?If you reload you can just shoot lighter loads.

Where can I get a Colt 40 cal barrel at? Before I knew it was unsafe to shoot the 40 in the 10mm everything worked perfect. Infact I could use 45 mags with 40 cal ammo in the 10mm without failing. But if I could find a 40 cal barrel that would be all I would need.

Try www.barsto.com www.briley.com prices are around $190. The 400 corbon is a necked down 45 case. If you can use a 45 mag in your pistol you can use a 400 corbon barrel with a 45 mag. But use a 2-hand grip or it'll fly toward your head.[This message has been edited by oneshy (edited 01-23-2002).][This message has been edited by oneshy (edited 01-23-2002).]
