Which is better? I am leaning towards the holo, more standard features and rugged. Won't the front sight on my flattop AR get in the way?

Both are fine --- if you are a member of a Rapid Entry Team. Neither does well if you shoot at bullseye targets. All of these sights require (at additional cost) a mount designed for your specific rifle model.Neal

I don't know for sure but I don't think the front sight will affect you. As far as shooting bullseye targets, I think it would be great. I shoot the standard reticle on 2 different xp-100s and the one will shoot one half inch groups at 100 yds. I also routinely kill groundhogs and crows at 200+ yards. My longest kill with the holosight was a measured 376 yards on a groundhog. If I'd known about the holosights years ago I would have used them. I prefer the Holosight I over the new style but either one works fine. I have a new style with a 1 minute of angle dot if you need one. E-mail me at charliemill@earthlink.net
