A Ruger style bolt, All the metal work is done very well (cleaned and polished to a T)The chamber bright, rifling is sharp. The seller showed me a few targets with an 1" to 1.5" 5 shoot group. With low swing safty, glass bedded action. I think thats about it?

This one is a little hard to answer because the rifle has to be evaluated on the work that has been done to it--you can't go down and buy one just like it at Wal-Mart--and how badly you want it. The basic unaltered gun was worth $85. The blue job is probably worth $65, but since it's showing wear let's say $45. The scope, I believe, is an inexpensive model--let's say with rings $50. The drill and tap job probably cost $40 at least. The bolt, if altered to clear the scope, $50; but if it was originally bent and scope clearance was achieved simply by installing high rings (see throughs), don't count it. Low scope safety, $35 if a Mk II, $50 if a Buheler. The good rifling and good groups are good selling points, but are kind of an intangible. You expect the rifle to be accurate and in good shape, or you probably wouldn't be interested, right? So, this is an inducement to buy, but hard to place a value on. Kind of depends on how bad you want it. When you add all this up you're over $300, but you're still left with a remodeled military rifle produced many years ago. In my opinion, $250 tops. This is about right where I live, but is different in other parts of the country.
