Browning Citori Value?

I've been asked to sell a pair of Browning Citori's, but shotguns not being my "thing" I decided to post a question as to their value here!#1. Looks just like this one but has 4 barrels; http://www.forthehunt.com/auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=2898761 Serial number is 298xxPR6A3. Is a 4 barrel set, all 4 are 28" ventribs. It features deep relief engraving which garnishes the entire receiver, trigger guard, top tang, takedown lever and bracket. Bird depictions are in 24 karat gold. The left side depicts two flushing ring necks. The right side displays three mallard drakes rising out of the cattails. Quail are on the trigger guard and a dog on the bottom of the receiver. The wood is at least extra fancy, I beleive english walnut with checkering on the pistolgrip & forend, Bluing is excellent on all 4 barrels (.410, 28, 20 & 12 Gauges) and the receiver. The barrels all say made in Japan and have double bead sights and numbers that match the receiver. Finally eveything is in a leather, velvet lined case.#2 Looks just like this one; http://www.forthehunt.com/auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=2913857 Serial number is 305xxNW163. Is probably more common, Invector-Plus Citori about 25% engraving and only gold inlay is the Browning staghead on the triggerguard. The wood is nice and shows good grain, it has screw in chokes, ventrib and single bead sight. Finally, will Browning issue a "Factory Letter" on either one and If so how do I get one?I've done my best to give an accurate description, if more info is needed please let me know ... thanks in advance!kk

kimberkid Waiting around for AntiqueDr. to wander by is probably futile. Why not take the bull by the horns and go directly to him?Admin. takes a dim view of giving out e-mail addresses because of a "privacy" issue and I understand their point, BUT if they give it out themselves, then that is a whole nother ball game.Try looking under the post "email" that was date stamped 01-23-02 at 12:05 AM. It may have a different date stamp on in when you look at it --- but the "title" will be the same. There Mr. Petty gives his e-mail address and you can use it to go directly to him. I am sure that he will respond to you in a day or so regarding the Citori's.A warm and foggy DIXIE evening to you.

Somebody rang? I dont frequent this particular board that often anymore, but I do look from time to time for topics that interest me.You dont mention how the Grade 6 four gauge set is choked but the most common are Skeet sets. Depending on condition, $5K is the right ballpark. The single gun is harder to figure, since there are so many variations of Citori. $700 for a nice fixed-choke hunting gun up to $1100-$1200 for a mint Invector-Plus Gran Lightning.Folks, never hesitate to email me. I'm glad to help if I can, that's why I put the link in the signature.
