I have a Savage .22 mag 20 gauge over under model 24J DL that I purchased in 1980. It has the silver colored casing with a fox on one side and grouse on the other. The trigger is gold. The gun is in very good condition with no marks on the stock or bluing. I am wondering an approximate age and value of this gun.

I`ve been told it`s a fairly rare gun.and also that it`s nothing special.

I need some information from anyone who can provide it. I have a Browning 10 ga. Invector pump; serial #52586PN192. The gun is in great shape and I was wondering what it is worth.
I also have an old Remington rifle serial # 51688. It is a Rem 32 and has Browning patents listed as follows: Oct. 9, 1900; Oct. 16, 1900; June 3, 1902; May 14, 1907; Feb. 4, 1911. It has the markings XRR3; ARR3 and KKJJ3 on the breech end of the barrel. The rifle is in good shape and appears to be very old, but definitely functional. How much could this gun be worth? What caliber is it? Can ammo be found for it? What is some history behind this gun? Any help would be greatly appreciated. [:)]
I have a colt .32 police special auto pistol complete wit hthe box it was bought in. Hey everyone I am looking at buying the following gun and was just curious about what the value was. I feel like I am getting a good price but I am no expert. The gun is a Rugar M77 mark II in 7 mag with a leoupold 3x9x50 VX-II. It has only had about 2 boxes through it. Thanks in advance for your help.
back in 1966 my grandmother purchased a gun for my grandfather from a co worker who inherited such gun from a deceased uncle. we have no idea how old the gun is. i was wonder if anyone could possibly help with a value. it is a stevens savage super choke 12 gage shotgun model 77 with a supressor it was manufactured in chickapee falls. it was also made prior to 1966. as far as serial number we cant find one however there are numbers on the gun but some of them are unreadable only thing we can make out is a number 2 and a number 0. the rest are covered up by another part of the gun in order to see them we'd have to take the gun apart and we didnt want to do that. does anyone have any idea how old this gun may be or how much it would be worth?
i have a marlin 336 44magnum lever action with micro groove barrel. gun digest says there are 2823 rifles made between 1963-1964,youtube shows one with hoop on front sight and no saddle ring mine is opposite it has saddle ring and no front hoop.looking for help on its value, good condition, and good shooter. thanks, tim
Put in on the auction side with a penny start and no reserve. You'll find out exactly what somebody is willing to pay for it. If I had the money, I'd probably go up to $800 for it, but alas, I don't. I wouldn't go higher because I don't plan on keeping it as a "never been fired" gun.
So what he is saying that the gun is worth more than $800, since he would buy it and then resell it to make money. Do a little research on the auction side and you will be able to figure out a value. The penny deal alot of guy suggest in my opinion is a joke, and I don't know why some of these expects suggest this to people looking for a value. Any given day an auction can end far below or far above the real value. These guys that sell alot can tell you the amount of feedback you have or the ending time or the payment options you offer can really effect the end results. While the penny auction will get it sold the first time around. Doesn't really mean that is the value. You just might the unlucky person who's sold far below the value.

I have a Browning A5 from the 60's SN 4M 70350 NIB with box. I do not think that it has been fired. Any ideas on the value?
You don't give us enough information for even a ballpark guess. We don't know the gauge or any other specifications. There are currently 4 pages of A5's listed on the auction ranging in price from $500 to more than $2000.
Double check that the box you have matches the serial number on the gun, then post the information off the box. Quality photos of the gun would be helpful, too.

btw auction registration and forum registration are 2 separate things.

Actually you did tell us the gauge; 12 gauge standard weight made in 1964 based on the serial number you provided. You didn't tell us the choke or barrel length which will have some bearing on value nor whether it has a plain or vent rib barrel. The advice about checking the auction side for current and sold A5s is good. As you've described it the price range probably is $800 to $1000; the low end if full choke with plain barrel, higher if open choke (IC preferably) with vent rib. Would go to the $2,000 range if it was a Sweet Sixteen or even a 20 (again, with open choke, and vent rib). The standard weight 12s are the least sought after. . .but NIB standard weight A5s from 1964 don't show up every day.
I didn't have the information to infer 12 gauge from the serial number, but if he had provided a detailed description I could have found similar guns on the auction side to refer him to.
I used to recruit for the NRA until they sold us down the river (again!) in Heller v. DC. See my auctions (if any) under username henryreilly
