Just bought one minus barrel on auction side. US marked with flaming bomb on the reciever. Anybody got any info on if it is for real and how or where it may have been used. Certian it was not used in combat. Training? Military base gun club?

I doubt very much a single barrel single shot breech loading shotgun was used in combat. I know of only one source that you might find any information about the gun and that is:
    J. Stevens Arms Company
    Older Stevens Historical Research
    Mr. John Callahan
    53 Old Quarry Road
    Westfield MA 01085
There will be a $15.00 research fee for any information
