ruger mini-14 load question

hello all, i just picked up an unfired ruger SS ranch mini-14 rifle and was wondering what grain bullet would shoot well in this rifle, I have no idea what the barrel twist is so i am leery of purchasing the 62grain SP i really want (this is a walking heavy cover coyote rifle) this rifle was made in 1999 or 2000 acording ruger. thanks in advance

    Ruger's Mini - 14 used two twist rates: Until 1987, the Mini-14 barrel had a 1-10" twist. It was then changed to 1-9" to stabilize the new 62 grain military bullet.
