I have a 10 gauge pedersoli double barrel. I would like to shoot both fine shot and lead balls from. I have no idea where to start with powder charges. does anyone have a "safe load" guideline to start with? thanks

    "Back in the day", a standard 10ga loading was 3 1/4dr 1 1/8oz shot.
A "heavy" 10ga loading was 4dr 1 3/8oz shot. If the gun is in sound mechanical shape, these should not pose a problem.

about 50gr FF BP, this can go up or down to suit the pattern. On the round ball, me personally, I would not go over 75-80 gr. I have a 12ga and have shot 90gr under about 1 1/4 oz shot, it just kicked to HARD to even consider shooting that much regularly. I now shoot 60gr under about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 oz for hunting. have never tried round balls or slugs.
