I will post some pictures of the rifle and one of the case. This is my Grandpa's rifle, which was at one time his dad's. He thought the caliber was a ".41 Beaumont"?
The headstamp on the case reads...." V.S C-92".

The Dutch Beaumont got a Vitali magazine but is not the same rifle otherwise.

So, this version he has was converted to fire centerfire cartridges. That is what the empties and loaded ammo were in the box with the rifle. What is the official cartridge designation and is there any that they sell nowadays?
Also, he wanted to know if you guys have any estimate on it's value?

Ammo is obsolete, and very hard to come by. Probably have to get it off a custom loader, so likely to spendy.
Rifle has been sporterized. Stock cut, front band gone, rear sight altered. This has a very negative effect, on collectors value.

I read so much about the .41 Swiss Rimfire......41 Swiss....10.4x47.....I was getting them all confused on which one I should actually be looking for here.
