Winchester 1890 Long Rifle dom

840586. Does anyone know the dom on this rifle. It has a King peep sight on it. Approx what is the value of this sight alone?

    IIRC, the model 1890 was made into the 30's, with about 865,000 of them being made. However, somewhere in the mid teens they dropped the "18" from the model, and it became the model 90. With a serial number of 840586 it sounds like you have a later receiver with an earlier barrel on it, if it's stamped 1890.

    Yes it is a Model 90. They actually dropped the 18 in 1919, but the question is does any one (Bert) know the DOM. Waiting for Bert. Thanks
