Has anyone tried a vortex crossfire II scope on a shotgun?

It will most likely work on any other shotgun action, other than semi automatic. Those give you bi-directional recoil.

    bridgebuilder41,

Like trs1965 suggests, semi-automatic shotguns give recoil in two directions, both forward and backward just like air guns do. This means that the scopes have to be built tougher and standardized for those firearms. If they do not state that the scope can be used for air rifles or semi-auto shotguns, I suggest staying away. Find one that is recommended.

    Best.

Nikon does, or did make a shotgun scope.

I have not tried a Vortex scope on my shotgun. I have a couple of Vortex products on rifles and have been really happy with them. I have been very pleased with the Nikon Shotgun scope with BDC. It works very well on my Rem 870 and has taken several deer in the past with three deer taken at over 110 yds. The Pic below was 115 yard shot...

The Nikon has held up well in tough hunting conditions (-20 below weather) and has held zero all the years I used it.
